What GR Snap does differently
Connect to your camera
On GR III, GR IIIx, and GR IV, one tap wakes the camera over Bluetooth and joins its Wi-Fi. GR II uses a manual Wi-Fi connection for transfers.
Keep your original photos
JPEG, DNG (RAW), and MOV transfer at original quality, not recompressed previews. Thumbnails cache as you browse, so big SD cards stay smooth.
Follow your downloads
Queue a batch and follow its progress on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
A remote you can frame with
On GR III, GR IIIx, and GR IV, live view includes tap to focus plus camera parameters synced both ways. Remote shooting is unavailable on GR II.
Browse after disconnecting
Downloaded photos stay in the Library, ready to browse and share after you disconnect the camera.
Remember where you took it
Record a route as you shoot and add missing photo locations when you download. Your saved route and camera clock help match each photo to its place.
Share with your own style

Which cameras does GR Snap support?
GR III, GR IIIx (including HDF), and GR IV support transfer and remote shooting. GR II supports manual Wi-Fi transfer.
Do I still need GR World?
GR World can update GR IV firmware. For GR II, III and IIIx, follow Ricoh's camera firmware download and SD card instructions. GR Snap does not install firmware.
